Recap: Dover Pirates vs. Lamar Warriors
The Dover Pirates lost against the Lamar Warriors back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Dover was the victim of a tough 56-35 loss at the hands of Lamar. Dover has struggled against Lamar recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Lamar's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lane Miller, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Caleb Green, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lamar, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dover will be home for the holidays to greet Central Arkansas Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Arkansas Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 412 points over their last six matches. Lamar will be home for the holidays to greet Baptist Prep at 7:00 a.m. on Friday. Baptist Prep is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
