Soccer Recap: Abingdon Comes Up Short

After soaring to nine goals the game before, Abingdon was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of the Gate City Blue Devils by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Gate City this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Tuesday.

Abingdon's goal came courtesy of Mason Sollien, who's now up to 32 this season.

Abingdon's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7-1. As for Gate City, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1-1.

As of now, neither Abingdon nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
