Basketball Recap: Whittemore-Prescott Comes Up Short

If Whittemore-Prescott was feeling good fresh off their 48-12 takedown of Heston Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals fell 39-30 to the Alcona Tigers on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-30 back in January.

Whittemore-Prescott has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. Alcona's victory bumped their record up to 4-15.

Whittemore-Prescott wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 46-23 defeat against Hale on the 19th. As for Alcona, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-30 win against Whittemore-Prescott on the 20th.
