Baseball Game Preview: Camelback Spartans vs. Kellis Cougars

The Camelback Spartans will take on the Kellis Cougars in a tournament on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Camelback is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of North.

Meanwhile, Kellis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Thunderbird, falling 15-2.

Kellis saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Moises Moran, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Camelback's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kellis, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Camelback suffered a grim 24-4 defeat to Kellis when the teams last played back in March of 2019. Can Camelback avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
