Basketball Recap: Paulding Skates Past Hicksville with Ease

Paulding won the last time they faced Hicksville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Paulding Panthers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hicksville Aces 61-30. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Paulding's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayleigh Dunham, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Dunham is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Schlatter, who posted nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Paulding smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Paulding's record is now 14-4. As for Hicksville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paulding will welcome Continental at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Paulding is facing Continental at the right time seeing as Continental is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hicksville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Antwerp at 6:30 p.m.
