Minden extended their home winning streak to 24 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Mattie Kamery. The Minden Whippets simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the West Point-Beemer Cadets 66-31 for which the team can thank Kamery, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 27 points and eight rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 46% in the last 17 games she's played.
The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsie Land, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in January.
Defeat or not, West Point-Beemer got some senior leadership from Mia Hunke and Nevaeh Weborg. Hunke had nine points and seven boards, while Weborg earned six points.
Minden is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for West Point-Beemer and nudges their season record down to 18-9.
