Central's and Holtville's game on Friday was close at halftime, but Central turned on the heat in the second half with three goals. The Central Spartans' defense stepped up to hand the Holtville Vikings a 4-0 shutout. Considering the Spartans have won ten matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Holtville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Angel Sandoval, Joseph Rosas, Santi German, and Mizael Rocha.

The win (which was Central's third in a row) raised their record to 15-1-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Holtville, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7-1.

Central will venture away from home to face off against Brawley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brawley will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Holtville, they will welcome Imperial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
