Basketball Game Preview: Duxbury Dragons vs. Whitman-Hanson Regional Panthers

Duxbury hasn't had much luck against Whitman-Hanson Regional recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Duxbury Dragons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Whitman-Hanson Regional Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Duxbury is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 77-69 win over Plymouth North on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Dragons sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Meanwhile, Whitman-Hanson Regional faced Mansfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Sunday. Whitman-Hanson Regional fell just short of Mansfield by a score of 57-55. That makes it the first time this season the Panthers have let down their home crowd.

Whitman-Hanson Regional's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2. As for Duxbury, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
