Football Recap: Covington Buccs vs. Milton-Union Bulldogs
Covington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 29-7 to the Milton-Union Bulldogs. The Buccs lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in September of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 48-0 score last time.
Charlie Lane was nothing short of spectacular for Milton-Union: he rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry.
Covington now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Milton-Union, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Covington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 35-7 loss against Lehman Catholic on the 11th. As for Milton-Union, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 49-0 win against Bethel on the 11th.
