The Angola Hornets will be taking part in a tournament against the Bronson Vikings at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Angola is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Central Noble on Thursday as they made off with a 15-5 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Hornets have posted against the Cougars since April 25, 2017.

Myles Steury was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Jackson Steury was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Angola kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Bronson waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Chiefs 12-1. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly 11 runs.
Owen Kimmons made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Kimmons was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Carson Stevens and Joseph Fair did most of the damage at the plate: Stevens went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Fair went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Dawson Soergel, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Bronson's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Angola, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
