The Belfry Pirates fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Phelps by a score of 61-51 on Monday. This was payback for Belfry, who suffered a 77-70 loss the last time these two teams met.
Belfry's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zade Rash led the charge by scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Daniels, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and five assists.
Belfry's win bumped their record up to 10-20. As for Phelps, their loss dropped their record down to 17-13.
