Chisum picks up fourth straight win at home

Recap: Chisum Mustangs vs. Grand Saline Indians

The Chisum Mustangs meant business on Friday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Indians squad that has allowed just 27.11 points per contest. Chisum came out on top against Grand Saline by a score of 55-42. That's another feather in the cap for Chisum, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Chisum had a senior duo take command as Brooklyn Atnip scored 24 points along with seven steals and five rebounds and Emma Garner dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The game was Garner's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Addison Bradberry, who scored seven points.

Chisum's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Grand Saline, their loss dropped their record down to 15-4.

Chisum will be home for the holidays to greet Rains at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rains is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for Grand Saline, they will head out on the road to face off against Hughes Springs at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hughes Springs is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
