Baseball Game Preview: Bartlett Hawks vs. Aurora East Tomcats

For the second straight game, Bartlett will face off against Aurora East. The Hawks will be playing at home against the Tomcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bartlett has three straight victories, Aurora East has 13 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Bartlett is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over Aurora East on Monday. The Hawks not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 14, 2024.

Vince Kamarat was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Bihun, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Kamarat wasn't the only one making solid contact: Bartlett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for the Hawks: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.4.

Bartlett's win bumped their record up to 6-8-1. As for Aurora East, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
