Basketball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 63-48 fall against the Pine Ridge Panthers.

Leading Pine Ridge to victory were Serenity Cressor and Brooke Murray. Cressor dropped a double-double on 24 points and 20 boards, while Murray went 8 for 15 on her way to 19 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Murray a new career-high in points. Jaliyah Feliciano was another key player, putting up seven points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Pine Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-12.

Freedom will challenge Hagerty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freedom is facing Hagerty at the right time seeing as Hagerty is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Pine Ridge, they will take on Seabreeze in a tournament on Monday.
