Baseball Recap: Sand Rock Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Sand Rock was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They lost 15-2 to the Pleasant Valley Raiders. The Wildcats have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Sand Rock saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Lewis, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Sand Rock's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Sand Rock will face off against Pisgah at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pleasant Valley, they will take on Cleburne County at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
