            Baseball Recap: Wolverine Wildcats vs. Boyne Falls Loggers        
        
		
        
        
            Wolverine had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-3 to make it eight. They fell just short of the Boyne Falls Loggers by a score of  4-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Loggers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  14-6  on Tuesday.
As for Boyne Falls,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-4. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs over those games.
 For Boyne Falls' part,  the team  relied heavily on  Chace Rose, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Brennen Gould, who  got on base  in both of his plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wolverine will  face off against  rival North Michigan Christian Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Boyne Falls is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Harbor Light Christian  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
