Baseball Recap: James River Takes a Loss

James River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Waynesboro Little Giants. Even if the Knights couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

James River's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Waynesboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Waynesboro beat James River by a score of 12-11 later that day.
