Softball Recap: Laurel Hill Wins Going Away Against East Hill Christian

Laurel Hill won the last time they faced East Hill Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hoboes blew past the Eagles 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Hoboes, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Brylee McLeod spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on one hit. Those earned runs were her first of the season.

At the plate, Savannah Riley was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Andrea Barnhill, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Laurel Hill's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for East Hill Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Laurel Hill will take on Baker at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Hill Christian, they will challenge Atmore Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
