Baseball Recap: St. Aloysius Takes a Loss

St. Aloysius fell victim to Copiah Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colonels. The game marked the first time this year in which the Flashes were not able to get on the board.

St. Aloysius saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laken Bradley, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Aloysius and nudges their season record down to 13-9. As for Copiah Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Aloysius will challenge Cathedral at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Green Wave's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Flashes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Copiah Academy, they will square off against Adams County Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Colonels are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
