Softball Recap: Hixson Comes Up Short

Hixson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-4 to the Girls Preparatory School Bruisers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Bruisers since April 12, 2023.

Hixson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for Girls Preparatory School, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Hixson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-4 loss against Rhea County on the 10th. As for Girls Preparatory School, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-4 win against Knoxville Catholic on the 10th.
