Basketball Recap: Braggs' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to 15

Braggs put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Oaks-Mission Warriors 97-23. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Warriors are ranked 503rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Braggs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Hensley, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine assists. With that strong performance, Hensley is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Hazen Edwards was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Hensley wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Braggs was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Braggs pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Oaks-Mission, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Braggs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-60 defeat against Wilson-Henryetta on the 17th. Oaks-Mission has also already played their next match, a 57-20 loss against Welch on the 21st.
