Volleyball Recap: Northland Christian Takes a Loss

Northland Christian lost against Central back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Northland Christian came up short against Central, falling 3-0. Northland Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Northland Christian ultimately came up short, they really made Central work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-16, 25-23.

Central was led to victory by Rifath Lian and Dominick Hapner. Lian had 18 assists and seven digs, while Hapner had seven digs and one assist. Lian is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 13 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Northland Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-12 record this season.

Northland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Staley on the 16th.
