It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lewiston had no problem doing just that on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Skyview Hawks 7-5. The victory was nothing new for the Bengals as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Jenna Barney was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Lewiston got a massive performance out of Anna Ready, who went 2-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Beccah Hogaboam, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Lewiston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 11-3 when they post 11 or more hits.

Lewiston's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Skyview, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-15.
