Volleyball Recap: Huntley Comes Up Short

Huntley lost against Berkeley Prep back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Raiders fell 2-0 to the Buccaneers. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Huntley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Mia Jacobelli and Izzy Whitehouse, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Abby Whitehouse and her five assists. Izzy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Huntley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Berkeley Prep, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Huntley has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Salpointe Catholic on the 4th. As for Berkeley Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Minooka on the 4th.
