Soccer Recap: Lathrop Comes Up Short

Lathrop and Wasilla squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Lathrop had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Wasilla this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss on May 8th.

Lathrop's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Wasilla, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3-2.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Lathrop will challenge Chugiak at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Wasilla, they will square off against South Anchorage at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Wasilla will need to watch out since South Anchorage have now posted at least four goals in their last four contests.
