Soccer Game Preview: Lake Forest vs. Mundelein + How To Watch

Lake Forest is 1-8-1 against Mundelein since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Scouts will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 6:45 p.m. Lake Forest will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.

If Mundelein heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Lake Forest took over last week. The Scouts sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Libertyville on Tuesday. Lake Forest's winning goal came courtesy of Emerson Buettner.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Mundelein's offense. They came up short against Wheaton North on Saturday, falling 3-0.

Lake Forest's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Mundelein, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.

Lake Forest was able to grind out a solid win over Mundelein when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Scouts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
