Basketball Game Preview: Kingsley Stags vs. Kalkaska Blazers

The Kingsley Stags will take on the Kalkaska Blazers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kingsley will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Kingsley came up short against Charlevoix on Tuesday, falling 61-37. While losing is never fun, the Stags can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 581st, while the Rayders are ranked 183rd).

Meanwhile, Kalkaska lost 61-41 to Boyne City on Tuesday. The Blazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kingsley's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Kalkaska, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Kingsley took their win against Kalkaska in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 58-35. Does Kingsley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kalkaska turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
