Basketball Game Preview: Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks vs. Boyd Christian Broncos

Having just played yesterday, the Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks will jump right back in to play the Boyd Christian Broncos at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jordan Christian Prep was handed a 44-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They skirted past Mountain Mission 57-55.

Amelia Williams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 30 points. She has become a key player for Jordan Christian Prep: the team is 12-5 when she posts at least 25 points, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Maria Salome Lopez Rangel, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, Boyd Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Jefferson Christian Academy on Wednesday, taking the game 45-37.

Jordan Christian Prep better focus on containing Katie Bechtel and Brooke Kesey as the pair were huge in Boyd Christian's win. Bechtel earned 17 points and five rebounds, while Kesey dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. Kesey has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Macie Bush was another key player, scoring ten points and five boards.

Boyd Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-12 record this season. Jordan Christian Prep's win bumped their record up to 16-11.

Jordan Christian Prep skirted past Boyd Christian 45-42 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will Jordan Christian Prep repeat their success, or does Boyd Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
