Pender piles up the points against Wakefield

Recap: Pender Pendragons vs. Wakefield Trojans
The Pender Pendragons had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Wakefield 64-23 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-14.
Pender's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Wegner, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Madalyn Dolliver was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 3 steals.
Pender's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Wakefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Pender won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tekamah-Herman at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Wakefield, they will head out on the road to face off against Wayne on Tuesday.
