Basketball Recap: Burlingame Comes Up Short

Burlingame lost against Junipero Serra back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers fell 57-51 to the Padres. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Burlingame saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lucca Maher shot 67% from the field on his way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Max Robenalt, who posted eight points.

Burlingame's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Junipero Serra, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Burlingame will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on El Camino at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. Junipero Serra and Montgomery will round out the year against one another at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
