            For the second straight game, University will face off against Waco. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Lions  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (University has three straight  victories, Waco has five straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, University made easy work of Waco  and carried off  a  16-5 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by ten  runs or more this season.

Meanwhile,  Sutton   struck out seven batters over  5.1 innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits. The dominant performance also gave  Wiese a new career-high in  strikeouts (five). At the plate,  Wiese  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-4, while  Sutton  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4. Sutton has become a key player for University: the team is 8-1 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 6-7 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  D'Angelo Alvarado, who  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while going 2-for-4. University is 8-1 when  Alvarado posts two or  more  runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Carlos Perez, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
