Football Recap: Stoneham Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Stoneham had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Nauset Regional Warriors 45-7. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Warriors are ranked 166th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Coming up, Stoneham will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Arlington at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Nauset Regional, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Oakmont Regional at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
