Volleyball Recap: Etowah Comes Up Short

Etowah suffered their biggest loss since September 3rd on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Marietta Blue Devils. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Eden McVay paced Etowah's offense, picking up seven kills. McVay got some help from Kayla Harman and her 15 assists. McVay was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Etowah's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Marietta, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Etowah didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against North Paulding on the 9th. As for Marietta, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Walton on the 9th.
