Baseball Recap: Cedarville Takes a Loss

Cedarville came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Madison Plains Golden Eagles, falling 14-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered since April 29, 2024.

Tavin Baldwin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Lide, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Cedarville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Madison Plains, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cedarville beat the Golden Eagles by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday.
