Rocky Point dropped their record down to 7-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 18-2 to the Islip Buccaneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since April 1st.

As for Islip, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-4. That looming 18-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

For Islip's part, the team relied heavily on Jake Urban, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those RBI were Urban's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Haug, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

While Rocky Point had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
