Last Friday, Briarwood Academy took their game at home with ease, bagging a 44-16 win over Glascock County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.
Briarwood Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Mason Poss, who rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and Cutler Fleming, who threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes. Meanwhile, St. Andrew's was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell to Central Fellowship Christian Academy 24-20.
Briarwood Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for St. Andrew's, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
