Wimberley had already won 20 in a row and they went ahead and made it 21 on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bandera BULLDOGS. That's more bragging rights for the Texans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Wimberley took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-9, 25-14.

Lilli Sandoval paced Wimberley's offense, picking up nine kills. Sandoval got some help from Skylar Herring and her 13 assists.

Despite the loss, Bandera still got an impressive performance from Taytum Moeller, who had 17 digs. Moeller has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last seven times she's played. Kyra Blake was another key player, getting five digs and five assists.

Wimberley's record is now 35-5. As for Bandera, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-24 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wimberley is set to challenge their familiar foe Canyon Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bandera will square off against rival Long Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
