St. Michael the Archangel waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Staley Falcons by a score of 3-1.

St. Michael the Archangel had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-22.

Kinley Gillihan paced St. Michael the Archangel's offense, picking up 15 kills. Gillihan got some help from Addi MacLean and her 43 assists. MacLean also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mara Franke, each putting up three.

St. Michael the Archangel's victory bumped their record up to 24-7. As for Staley, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-14.

St. Michael the Archangel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Pembroke Hill on the 14th. As for Staley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Blue Springs on the 14th.
