It was a proper cat-fight when Colbert Heights challenged Mars Hill Bible on Tuesday. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Panthers 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-6 last Thursday.

Eydie Keenum spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Addison Holcomb was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Colbert Heights and bumps their season record up to 22-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Mars Hill Bible, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season.

Colbert Heights will host Phil Campbell at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mars Hill Bible, they will take on Lauderdale County in a tournament on Thursday.
