Basketball Recap: Arlington Tigers vs. Houston Mustangs
Arlington lost against Houston back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Arlington Tigers took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Houston Mustangs. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Arlington still got an impressive performance from Zaria Moss, who shot 45% from the field en route to 35 points. That was a full 59.3% of Arlington's points, marking the fifth time in a row Moss has posted more than a third of the team's points. Micaiah Adams was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Houston to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caidyn Sanders, who went 9-for-19 to rack up 26 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Sanders' big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzie Percoski, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 13 boards.
Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Houston, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season.
Arlington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-27 loss against Whitehaven on the 28th. As for Houston, they have also already played their next game, a 63-55 victory against Overton on the 28th.
