Volleyball Recap: Waubonsie Valley Takes a Loss

Waubonsie Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Charles North North Stars. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the North Stars earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Waubonsie Valley sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 24-26, 25-17.

Waubonsie Valley's record now sits at 13-17. As for St. Charles North, they pushed their record up to 16-11 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waubonsie Valley will venture away from home to square off against Geneva at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Charles North, they will challenge Glenbard West at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
