Football Recap: Willis Continues Home Dominance on Friday + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Willis had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 34-27 victory over the Tomball Cougars on Friday. The Wildkats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Lincoln Frazier was his usual excellent self, throwing for 390 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt. Those 390 passing yards gave him a new career-high. 91 of Frazier's passing yards were hauled in by Tyler Andrade.

Tomball lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jaxyn Faldyn, who threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 55 yards and one score. Ian Thomas was another key player, rushing for 142 yards and one TD.

Willis pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Tomball, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Coming up, Willis will challenge Forney at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildkats will be up against the Jackrabbits' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Tomball does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
