            The North Providence Cougars will challenge the Ponaganset Chieftains at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The timing is sure in North Providence's favor as the  team sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Ponaganset has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
North Providence's pitching crew heads into the  match  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Wednesday. They blew past Johnston 7-0. That seven run margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.
The result came thanks to  Tony Abed's shutout, as he gave up just three  hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Mike Allard was  incredible,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Jayden Allard, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to ten  runs the game before, Ponaganset was a bit more limited  in their  contest  on Monday. They took  a  4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Raphael Academy.
 Ponaganset now  has a losing record of 3-4. As for North Providence, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
