Basketball Game Preview: Brownstown Bombers vs. St. Anthony Bulldogs

Brownstown is 0-5 against St. Anthony since January of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Brownstown Bombers will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Anthony Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Brownstown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.

On Tuesday, Brownstown lost to Nokomis on the road by a 54-36 margin.

Despite the defeat, Brownstown saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dayana Haslett posted 16 points. Madi Miller was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, St. Anthony entered their tilt with North Clay/Clay City on Monday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victor by a 63-38 margin over North Clay/Clay City. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

St. Anthony has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Brownstown, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 24-4.
