Volleyball Recap: Summit Shasta's Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games

It was a good run, but Summit Shasta unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aragon Dons. The Black Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-11.

Aragon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sosefina Tatola, who had 17 digs. Tatola is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Summit Shasta's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Aragon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-5.

Coincidentally, Summit Shasta and Aragon will both be playing Gunn the next time they take the court. The Black Bears will head out to face the Titans at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Dons will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
