Basketball Recap: Mountain Top Christian Takes a Loss

Mountain Top Christian lost against Mid-Missouri HomeSchool back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mountain Top Christian lost 47-25 to the Mid-Missouri HomeSchool Mavericks. The matchup marked Mountain Top Christian's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mid-Missouri HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rachel Robinson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave Robinson a new career-high in steals (three). Taylor Dorr was another key player, putting up nine points along with eight rebounds and five steals.

Mountain Top Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Mid-Missouri HomeSchool, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.

Mountain Top Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wisconsin School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Mid-Missouri HomeSchool, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-40 defeat against Calumet Christian on the 27th.
