Basketball Game Preview: Drexel Bobcats vs. Lutheran Knights

The Drexel Bobcats just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Lutheran Knights at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Drexel will be strutting in after a win while Lutheran will be coming in after a defeat.

Drexel took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They breezed by Heartland to the tune of 56-25. That looming 56-25 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bobcats yet this season.

Meanwhile, Lutheran had to suffer through a 63-29 loss at the hands of West Platte. The Knights have struggled against the Bluejays recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Drexel pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Lutheran, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Drexel and Lutheran were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February of 2017, but Drexel came up empty-handed after a 44-43 loss. Can Drexel avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
