Volleyball Recap: Christian Extends Winning Streak to Four

Christian had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the East Grand Rapids Pioneers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-2 victory on Tuesday.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Christian got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-27, 25-21.

East Grand Rapids' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylee Stanley-Eldred, who had 15 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Mackenzee Stanley-Eldred, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Christian's victory bumped their record up to 32-7. As for East Grand Rapids, their defeat dropped their record down to 27-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Ottawa Hills at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, East Grand Rapids will take on rival Catholic Central at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
