Softball Recap: Sunnyslope Triumphs

Sunnyslope saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Tombstone Yellow Jackets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Peyton Udall was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Molly Nordstrom, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Sunnyslope was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Sunnyslope's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Tombstone, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Sunnyslope has already played their next game, a 13-5 victory against Globe on the 22nd. As for Tombstone, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-3 defeat against Safford on the 22nd.
