Preview: Dora Bulldogs vs. Sumiton Christian Eagles
Dora has been on the road for six straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Sumiton Christian Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Dora didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Cordova, but they still walked away with a 60-55 win.
It was another big night for Camdan Hines, who scored 16 points along with four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Josh Williams was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Sumiton Christian came up short against Addison on Friday and fell 76-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Thursday (64), Sumiton Christian still had to take the loss.
Dora's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Sumiton Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
Dora strolled past Sumiton Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 45-31. Will Dora repeat their success, or does Sumiton Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
